With 32 years of experience in the sports and entertainment space across all facets of the business, Tag’s work has included domestic and international properties, from sports organizations to entertainment companies to digital/OTT platforms and blue-chip brands. He has been an integral part of precedent setting major media rights negotiations to produce more than $7.5B for both domestic and international clients, including Amazon’s first deal in Mexico with Chivas, and has led numerous client strategies in both professional and college sports. In addition, Tag has negotiated more than $150M in sponsorship agreements and helped companies including Amazon, Intel, and Sony establish sports platforms. He also has helped to launch new channels, created business ventures, and produced globally syndicated programs. Prior to launching Excelsior Sports and Entertainment, Tag spent thirteen years at Wasserman as Senior Vice President & Head of Global Media, where he led client engagements across sports, entertainment, and technology. Tag enjoyed 10 years at ABC Sports/ESPN in programming acquisitions, sales and marketing, and content distribution across various properties. Prior to joining ABC Sports/ESPN, Tag spent almost a decade with IMG in positions that included production, programming, sales and marketing, as well as digital media. In his current role heading Excelsior Sports and Entertainment, Tag has worked with professional teams and college conferences on their media rights and content strategies, including negotiations with linear and digital platforms, helped to expand tech companies’ expansion into sports and entertainment, assisted teams and universities with evaluating and enhancing their brand value, as well as becoming a partner in a production company with other industry veterans.
